Also remember you have a 4 hour limit once you click play on a movie, even if it’s a second screening.

So assuming you would watch first then go back and screen record it?

If you’re looking to do it all at the same time you would need to download an actual screen recorder program like OBS Studio. It’s a little more complicated so I didn’t prefer it.

The way I’m going about it is:
I’m casting the sundance film from my phone to my TV via the iOS Sundance app

While also playing it on my Mac separately and recording. But in order to do this you have to cast from the actual App, if not and say you try to play the film from two different browsers it won’t let you

Or if you can’t cast from an iPhone they also have the app on Fire TV and Apple TV if you have that option as well

Why would i need OBS instead of just the screen recorder with the audio extension?

Because the audio will be muted fam. At least that’s how it does it for me.

With OBS when I tested it it recorded the video/audio for me without having to change to the extension

Just downloader the soundflower extension so ima test it on youtube rn and see if it works

And I meant the audio will be muted while recording not when you play it back. Cus then you would turn off the audio extension so the audio can play on your laptop like normal

Is OBS heavy software or does it run smoothly?

It ran smoothly for me. Took a second to figure out the settings. But it’s not as convenient as the Mac built in recorder that’s why I’m just using that

Coda was a beautiful f***in film....fucking beautiful got damn. I pray i'm not being caught up in the hype of sundance but this s*** had me tearing up and i usually don't cry during movies but this s*** got me

On first watch it's a 5/5 for me. The dynamic of the story was so rich and geniune without trying to over do it.

I can easily see this being a top movie contender whatever year it releases
