i have a membership to a local bathhouse and I go weekly

first a shower to cleanse myself before getting in any shared space of the bathhouse

then 15 minutes in the sauna with a linen scrubby pad manually exfoliating every inch of my skin as sweat absolutely pours out of my pores

then a cold plunge for as long as I can take

then soaking in the hot tubs and stretching

then back in the cold plunge

that's one 'circuit' and I try and do it twice

this is all while focusing acutely on my breathwork to help expand my lung capacity, grow my control over my parasympathetic nervous system, increase the size of my nasal passages, and acclimate my body to high oxygen and then high carbon dioxide all while under the additional stress of extreme temperatures

btw a mask in a really hot sauna actually helps cool the air before you inhale so you can take quicker deeper breaths
