What are your thoughts on this project a year later? It’s a great gym album and the starting point of the J Cole’s resurgence as a rapper imo

Absolutely came and went

impressed me alot actually but nothing stayed in rotation for me

it ain’t no Big Steppers that’s forsure

one of my favourite Cole projects hunger on hillside might rlly be his best song

I’m assuming he was trying to tap into the FNL direction for it but yeah that’s not it

The first time that Cole beat Kendrick to the punch. Mr Morale is a combination of Off Season and Call Me If You Get Lost

Pretty decent album.

Not a classic but a good comeback from KOD that shows that Cole has potential to level up for The Fall Off.

Album is exactly what I needed from Cole. Concert solidified it for me. Man did every song and decided to do hunger on hillside for the first time on tour to close out the show cause he loved the crowds energy
