the grand music combined with a body putting itself back together, all being shown in real time. you can feel the triumph of Frank escaping Hell.
the effects are pure genius if you’re into horror or practical effects at all
this post is random but I just wanted to talk about one of my favorite horror movies people kinda overlook nowadays. like everyone knows about the franchise but haven’t ever seen any of the movies
help me I am in hell
why’d Frank have to do the dad like that, he seemed like such a cool genuine dude :cryfam:
this was such a good ass movie
I think the second one is even better. In my head I just combine both of them as one big ass horror epic since the sequel picks up literally in the same scene the original ends on.
wish more non horror fans would see this movie. it feels more like a really dark fantasy tale or something rather than full blown horror
Never seen the second one
watch it sometime soon. it scales the story up into an epic, like you get to see the entire Hell Labyrinth and the lord of Hell, see how a cenobite gets made, what life is like for someone imprisoned by the cenobites, stuff like that. like Frank is constantly being seduced by beautiful women but he can never have s***with them. it’s considered to be superior to the first one. but the first two are basically one big movie

Will have to peep this eventually then
hopefully the HBO show uses practical effects like this
I have faith in the tv series. I know it’s probably not going to be like the movie, since it’s a show and will have a longer story. but I’m hoping it’ll be good. It would be a weird move from HBO if it’s not gonna be any good- a Hellraiser show is just too out there, there’s gotta be a reason it’s being made
