Ladies N Gentlemen welcome to a new edition of Consulting Drops. This is the first soul Sundays in 3 weeks. It is Monday and it is late edition because I had to find some samples and do some stream uploads. (Also because it takes a moment to sort this level of music properly) Here we have a group of outstanding vocalist’s and songwriters who put together a great group under the watchful eye of Holland Dozier Holland at Invictus Records. Now everyone reading this probably knows this group from this one song:

Today you are exploring the world of “Chairmen of the Board” a semi popular FUNK/R&B/Soul group on the Invictus records. In this bundle you get the COTB lp’s and the 4 solo lp’s from 3 member’s. All lp’s are not on Spotify/Tidal/Apple/ HOW ABOUT THAT? That’s the kind of content I bring when I’m away for a bit. Included is ALL ARTWORK & the best quality available for each lp.

Sample's are above if you scrolled fast.

Now before I jet outta here like Thugga F-16 meme, let’s cover some brief COTB history.

COTB has their origins started somewhere in the late sixties from different groups and locations. Invictus Records signed them and they were all talented vocalists. As you will hear in the various work I have provided for the fam. Now during this time they would release 4 group albums together. 2 albums they were a quartet and 2 albums they were a trio. I think the lead singer left likely because he was a balladeer for pop . The Remaining three would continue to release 2 more lp’s. During a break they would release 3 solo lp’s on the same label.

Not only the song “Give me a Little Bit More Time” but the country standard “Patches” is written by General Johnson as well. Which is a classic standard done by many country singer’s. The first 2 lp’s have plenty of nice tunes for

Their swan song lp for the 70’s is a interesting one with Eddie Hazel-Bernie Worrell-Billy Bass Nelson as the rhythm section for the whole lp. Uncredited on the album we hear the psychedelic funk influence of Sly Stone and Funkadelic merged together with the overseeing of General Johnson’s songwriting at the helm. They even do a Sly Stone cover on this lp called “Life n Death” It was a unreleased sessions until 1974 and it was just a way for the producer to work with Funkadelic musicians.

Here they are on Soul Train with Bernie Billy Bass Nelson and Eddie Hazel is not there

And there you go, a nice drop of a great group where you get your time’s worth clicking this thread. Holy s***, did this take forever to do. The take downs were one after the other, I had a corrupted lp, I had to get a new one. I had to go a whole different streaming site. Drop fam,. If you ever wonder what it takes to distribute “grey area content” to you. Look no further than my drop’s. Streams are a burden if you are doing it away from youtube.

AND that was Chairmen of the Board and I'm Audio Consulting. As always one download link all the lp's are on one zip, artwork is included & it's all organized in order. From Group's to solos.

BTW to all new people, you can go look at my retro posts and at the top all links are active. The streaming links might not be because there's always the flagging and Im jumping around on different streaming sites to see what I can upload.

I've probably dropped over 100+ lp's for over a year on this site. 6 Months on the KTT 1.0

If you want to be notified, I usually drop on Fri-Sun. Sometimes Thursday. I did take a hiatus in November for 3 weeks.

But I will be back on Soul Sundays and I have a effin Doozy once again.

I got some nice other drop's as well in the works.

I've been meaning to do the COTB one for 2 months. Now that is completed, we can move on.

This is true, i think Eddie Played on a lot of stuff uncredited. We only know like a few. But there's a lot of records where they don't list the rhythm section in 60's & 70's. It was a good racket to pretend "I dont know who played on what" More money for the label's to keep to spend on hookers & blow parties.

    Another one 😎

For the new lurkers & ktt2, that’s 8 lp’s in one night (7 , there is one) not on Spotify tidal apple. I lace my drop fam when it’s time. You know what is coming Thursday? Another goat of soul, making up for the absentee weeks. 😎
