beautiful album, a real love letter to a lot of sounds beyond footwork
the jana rush album is also maybe my favourite of the year. next level heartfelt stuff taking the sound into the future but still reflecting on the last year or so. manny - signals in my head was also incredible

koze has always been a better jamie xx to me lol
A fair statement in a lot of ways honestly, Caribou and Four Tet also go in the same space imo.
That said, I've never loved an album by any of them the way I love In Colour. Knock Knock, Milk of Human Kindness and Pause are classics in their own right though
This is also the perfect thread to express how f***ing insane hearing this mix live at Governors Ball was lmao
My brain broke for a minute when I realized what I was hearing
F***ing bangers all over this thread, my god
Wish Jlin and SOPHIE had gotten to collab more

no hate i like his work (girl was my s***) but i feel like since the album he feels a bit self conscious and slightly holds back from the colourful gaudiness that someone like koze embraces. it's a corny take but he's the kind of person i feel would shine if he got in the studio w thug for a week

two of the best sound artists of our last decade for sure, very sad. i don't even think sophie's loss has begun to be felt in music yet
