I love street rappers, you love street rappers - a lot of us love street rappers. But lately there's been this trend amongst music nerds (mostly white) on forums and such that makes my stomach uneasy:
Overhyping them to the point of irony then throwing them away for the next trendy street rapper that they don't even really enjoy...but pretending they do just to seem cool
It goes back to what I said before:
"A lot of street rappers that white hypebeasts worship tbh.
I noticed there's underlying semi-ironic stanning of super street rappers from white suburban kids. All that acting like they're mozart and s***, there's a weird zoo animal vibe to it. And they only do it when a rapper showcases a crazy street lifestyle:
"Chief Keef is a savant of the highest order, his drawn out vocal inflections harken back to the conflict between the North and the South in the Civil War. I cried when he said Love Sosa, Raris and Rovas. Truly gripping poetic content."
"Future's misogyny is a beacon of light on the pressing feminist wave that breaks the masculine wall of strength down"
S*** is sus. Like these hypebeasts don't actually take these street artists seriously so they do the extras."
Also a ton of suburban cornball jamals on here who want to look hood and street for their ktt buddies
