True but Nelly and 50 had their primes in early 2000s. In that short span Nelly and 50 basically had the same career as far as popularity. I think the point T.I. is making is how they are looked at now. Nelly known for the hits he made but isn’t respected like 50. The east coast bias was real and a lot of people from the south/Midwest feels that way.
