i'm already uncomfortable with instagram embeds since fb uses them for data collection/tracking etc. and i definitely don't want to run arbitrary code from tiktok lol

i'm gonna be changing how instagram and twitter embeds work for this reason and because of the problems with browser performance and bugs like losing scroll position when you go back, embeds not loading, etc. and if i can implement tik tok embeds in a similar way then i will if the demand is there

but the links just open the tiktok app anyway right?

Links are kind of weird because it sends you to your feed first. You have to hit the back button twice to get to the video that's been linked
