it was good but the body horror stuff was so disturbing/hard to watch for me that I’ll probably never watch it again

I suppose this is why some consider it horror, but they don’t show much on screen it feels pretty tame to me
Crazy movie. In love with it
Currently on a huge binge of cast/Julia interviews and conferences about the movie
Interesting to hear that when they were looking for the main character, they looked at both men and women models on Instagram. I wonder how it would’ve felt with a dude as the main character
Dude
With the edited music crossover and the cinematography u accidentally made a euphoria scene lmfaoo

I genuinely can't tell if I even liked this movie or not. Took me ages to finish, but it's the first movie in a while (The Witch earlier last year was the last) that has actually made me feel something which was so refreshing.
Are there any young filmmakers that you find promising?

“I liked the film a lot,” he said. “She’s got a really strong visual sense. I know she’s said how much of an influence my filmmaking has been, but it’s basically in the sense of unlocking her own sensibility, which is unique. She’s got a really strong visual sense and a sense of the absurd, the extreme. Her films are totally not like my films.” .
“I was delighted that she won the Palme, and I thought it was a real breakthrough for the festival,” he said. “More than that, the fact that it was chosen to represent France as the official Oscar selection was pretty bold. That also tends to be a conservative choice. In this case, they went the distance with that.” - Cronenberg on Titane
Finally got around to seeing this and catching up on this thread. Beautiful visuals, disturbing performances and the ost was perfect
Really enjoyed reading some of the interpretations itt. I’m not great an a***yzing movies but I knew there were some metaphors and allegories going over the top of my head. The film seemingly touched on closeted transgenderism, homosexuality, family and family trauma, the lengths pain will take you.
Solid film if a lil gross at times but some of the visuals are so striking I doubt I’ll be forgetting them anytime soon.
