If we're gonna be fr Don and Sheck may have the best growth management for any new artist since Travis himself (except maybe 21 but he's self managed)
Both were given hard cosigns from Trav and also showed up prominently in landmark moments on Trav's biggest album yet instead of jsut being put in the background. They were also given free reign to release music and execute their own creative directions.
Both of them also released projects right on the feet of their first major looks (Don on Can't Say and Sheck on Mo Bamba) that highlighted their own ability (Mudboy not so much but its an okay project) without compromising anything they have to offer
JACKBOYS was also geniusly executed by giving Don and (to a lesser extent) Sheck a lot of placement on the album
Add in the fact that Don is having a song pushed on TikTok and both have albums coming soon and you can see two artists who are ready to become superstars without giving up any talent
u think travis singlehandedly came up with all of that?
u are right tho don has some good momentum, sheck kinda blew it w mudboy and the whole woman beating thing tho
even then travis is the one who founded the label, picked out his team, had final say to add them onto the label, and gave a lot of mentoring for said artists
you can't blame Kanye and Drake for being bad managers for OVO and GOOD artists then turn around and say Travis does f*** all when artists actually succeed
His mother worked for Apple and taught him market strategies.

Were they as big as sheck or don less than a year into their major careers? Where was travis in 2013? Sean in 2011?
Sheck Wes is garbage, Smokepurrp is garbage and Don Toliver is some mid sauce with a few decent records. If Octavian is signed he’s the only good rapper with potential on the label

It goes against the trend
