    hey yall, so not getting too far into it but the place i stay is right next to the freeway on one side, and heavy construction on the other (they start everyday at 7, and go mon-sat) i work a job with long hours that usually go well into the night (sometimes a shift ends at 3am) so as you'd be able to guess, its starting to play havoc on my sleep schedule. What can i do?

    Put some foam or blankets on your walls to dampen the noise a bit if you can’t soundproof

    just any old ear plugs? the weed wont do anything that far in advance its too much a part of me now

    drinking is something you should do in moderation. no heavy drinking. just a glass if you're really trying to sleep and even then you're playing with fire.

    Then a black out curtain would be best if you can afford it but there will still be some light that leaks in the gap between the walls unless you thumbtack your curtains to the wall when you sleep or get some that hang very close to the wall
    But a sleep mask is obviously cheaper so try that first it might be all you need

    avoid drinking, it messes your sleep.
    melatonin could be helpful, also someone suggested me therapeutic marijuana

    Get a pair of these and cut the cord and the big tips attached to them so they can fit in your ears when you sleep on your side but not too much so you can remove them in the morning

    Natural noise cancelling
