I work door to door sales and I’m still struggling alil bit but I’m getting better
I did good as s*** tho today
I got dropped off my territory (it was a terrible territory I was the only one in the car that got a sale), and I realized I didn’t have the Res sheet to notate houses so I’m like f*** it ima still do this s***. Then I remembered, oh yeah I have a notebook in my hand I can just make my own lil thing. I knocked on the door, got the sale in hours that didn’t get any sales, I was about to finish by calling the call center until I realized I left my phone in the car.
I was panicking at first until I asked to use his phone and I googled the clients company name that we working with, called em up, and got the sale. I even asked them to try to send an SOS to try and call my boy that my phone was in his car, but to no help. It wasn’t until they came back for me and I got my phone back after 3 hours. This was what I sent after

I don’t normally hype myself like this, but given the circumstances, I think it’s justified.
Also my boy that got no sales saw me send those messages and he said “shut ya ass up before I beat yo ass”

Congratulation on doing well today. Door to door sales sounds like pure hell.

If my workplace wasn’t cool as s*** it would be but the pay is nice also
A nice $150-200 per sale and some People be making 5 sales a day so if you can get it right it’ll be worth it
Plus the people are funny and cool as s*** it’s a small group and we’re all basically friends so I feel more connected and comfortable than some mindless cubicle job

Why don't you find something better?

I’ve outweighed the pros and cons and ultimately the reasons I stay is cause of the people working with me, how much of a genuinely good time I have being at work which is completely new to me. Also they’re training us to be managers too so I’m also using this to better myself and it’s working. Also the pay, when you get it right, is higher than any office job I know

We just give out free estimated quotes for home improvement s***. We’re technically not soliciting anything, just setting up appointments for people to measure and inspect anything they need improved. The quotes are saved for up to 10 years so they can save it in writing for the future.

Also the office is a 5 minute drive away so that’s the biggest benefit

Only real problem is we work Saturdays but it’s fine cause it’s shortened and I get longer mornings everyday cause we get in at 11 so I can’t lose this like I lost my last job which honestly I’m glad that happened cause this is way better

My journey was crazy as I basically been chronically online so I had someone that was on the spectrum like me to basically teach me how to do all this. I used to walk around in an all black trench coat and no one checked me on it until my boss was on the field and saw a tall ass guy in a trench coat and he got nervous. He’s a man from New Jersey who’s naturally loud they don’t get nervous. That’s when I knew something was wrong. Now I’ve been built and I see myself going up from here.
