I agreed until the last point
When the f*** did raw denim go out of style? My only pair of normal denim are raws (besides that I just have 1 black skinny and chinos)
Even if they aren't in anymore I can't go back to regular denim
Like early to mid 2010’s when I stop seeing and wearing my raw denims plus I would always get mad getting my shoes f***ed up. But I’m lowkey waiting for that kid Cudi raw denim bape tee and Jordan 4 look to come back. I was killing that s*** back in high school
For me black pants and navy shirt looks like you’re trying for the all black look but you don’t have a black shirt also looks very high schoolish. It has to be a light navy for it to work

How do they ruin your shoes do you not pre soak and dry before wear?
Over the last decade I've had 3 pairs (unbranded, Levi's, nudie) and I have never once had that issue
I've stained my legs by doing the hairdryer method for a few days but that's it
I have noticed everyone's doing 90s over washed jeans or whatever now so idk
Don’t wear navy and black together unless it’s raw denim and you shouldn’t be wearing raw denim in the first place
Welp
there’s no rules. you either have style or you don’t
That's a rule right there bro

I have a navy button down with the flat collar or whatever and I think it looks good with my black skinnys. But I wear black Camo 97s with em.
Think it's fire but I could be wrong
Seeing people wear adidas socks with nike shoes and vice versa kills me
I try to wear all Adidas workout fits but I have some Nike s*** mixed in. I'm perpetually outside running in the fall in all Adidas except the bike windbreakers on top
Save me
Don’t wear navy and black together unless it’s raw denim and you shouldn’t be wearing raw denim in the first place
okay you def don't need to be giving out "rules" or anything
That's a rule right there bro
that's not a rule lmao, ppl without style still buy clothes
Someone told me that u don’t wear timbs between spring break and labor day and wonderin of there are any others lol
don't wear timbs period lmao
S*** went so downhill there's pansexual pimps making the front page regularly
Other unwritten rule - never dress like this literal clown
You laugh but people there eat that weirdos s*** up.
I get destroyed by saying all his s*** is wack yet he has a bunch of the top posts there

it's the same with all them s***ty sub reddits. Never go in with a controversial opinion. They all just kinda agree with each other like one giant hive mind and if you don't they'll attack

black and navy fire combo
The only rules are the ones you choose to impose upon yourself. I think 'theory' is a more apt term. Just as you can make beautiful music without understanding music theory you can get a fit off without understanding the 'rules'/theory/basics. Having an understanding of the theory provides a foundation to build off of.
With this in mind, coupled with the fact that many 'rules' of menswear apply to suiting and what colours go together, our contemporary fashion-space is a free-for-all and style is all trial and error.
