before some s***posting dumbfuck says it, yes i know this isn’t a new thing especially if you’ve been on the internet for a long while, but the way we as a society (well at least american society) have become so numb to everything that’s going on has reached psychopathic levels.
we’ve really normalized tens of thousands dying every day, kids being shot up in schools, tents for the homeless being lined up on the street in the freezing cold while we walk past them without a f*** in the world (while the police destroy their tents and tell them to gtfo on top of that), people dying without basic medicine.
like, where the f*** is our empathy, thoughtfulness, basic human f***ing decency gone? this is some psychopathic behavior that should not be so normalized like it is right now. this s*** is pathetic that we’ve come to this.
TL;DR: all of us have become lou bloom in nightcrawler and it’s really scary
Yeah it’s crazy. Maybe it has to be that way. Isn’t there some stuff in the Bible that we will become really evil before the end or something? But yeah hope this a part of something good in the end
Its easy to tune it out when you get terrible news constantly everyday
Some people just tryna live their lives.
Not saying its good. Just saying we move past alot of s*** just so we can carry on with our day
agreed op
even some types of 'dark humour' have just gotten creepily far
internet was the best and worst thing ever
I mean
the world was a lot more f***ed up back then if you think about it
you had kingdoms conquering each other, at war, raping woman and killing children
they were ruthless with mass genocide too god dam
Also, I get your point but there was never a point in American history where the general population had a heightened sense of empathy in comparison to now.
the world was way more barbaric back in the day.
s*** is f***ed up now, but a lot of it is magnified by the media
they get more ad revenue the more clicks they get, and bad stories sell vs good stories
i’m sure there’s a lot of good in the world too, we just never hear about it
Also, I get your point but there was never a point in American history where the general population had a heightened sense of empathy in comparison to now.
yes I know, but the thing is, being the rich and developed country that we are, we was supposed to learn past our mistakes and progress past this like other developed countries have done. we have made little to no progress as a nation in terms of our empathy
you posting this on the wrong website. lot of people here part of the problem lol.
