(Yes this will be my answer everytime someone asks for new anime to watch )
HxH is not just "good" but yeah this is your next one. Maybe Attack on Titan. Code Geass
Attack On Titan without question should be your next one if that were your first 2 in terms of shows. Also Psycho Mob 100, One Punch Man, And My Hero Academia (Don’t let the haters tell you otherwise)
In terms of films, definitely Ghost In The Shell And Akira
Hunter x hunter got boring real fast to me. Had to quit it first season
you quit it before it gets great. most great narrative works have to start slow/world build in the beginning so that the consumer can be immersed for what follows.
i’d def recommend picking it back up for the next two arcs at least, Yorknew City arc is where s*** gets classic
Deadman Wonderland
if the anime would’ve had an actual ending that s*** would be in top 100 anime discussion, but instead that half-assed ending we got made everyone hate what was a good show for the most part

I still love it but I definitely feel that. I’m not big into anime tho
