I hear this phrase tossed around a lot but never see receipts Imma help yall

    1. Tyler The Creator

    • Despite an 11 year career with long droughts between releases, no big hits or efforts to go commercial the man has racked up 6 top 10 albums, one #1 album and sold out arenas, all without bending to trends or industry pressure.

    2. Frank Ocean.

    • Despite only having 3 projects out, one minor hit, and taking a 4 year hiatus at a time where most artists would use their first album's momentum for more success, Frank Ocean hit a number one album selling 276k in its first week (now platinum) and going on to be one of the most critically acclaimed albums of all time. Even 4 years after making a career detour to mysterious scammer, his singles are still anticipated and his catalogue still discussed.

Updating with examples of what people have suggested:

GKMC, CTRL, Rodeo, Kanye Discog, Take Care
The Blueprint, Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, Trilogy
    TPAB, Barter 6, Finally Rich

Drake hits dont last, they go #1 and are never listened to again after 1 year
