    GTAIII:
    Not being able to swim
By far the worst playable character starting with the 3D to HD universes. Claude just isn’t exciting. At all. He’s barely a character.
A lot of the missions sucked.
The controls could get really annoying.

    VC:
Again not being able to swim.
Changing clothes couldn’t be done in Tommy’s apartment but random places in the city.
Missions could be very hard and frustrating.

    SA:
By far some of the worst missions. Farewell My Love and Supply Lines are the worst missions in all of GTA.
Only a few good radio stations
Gun sounds. Really awful gun sounds. They all sounded the same when firing.

    IV:
    Barely any customization.
    Friends could get really annoying.
    Driving cars could be awful.
Between Liberty City, Vice City, and Los Santos, Liberty Center is my least favorite city.

    V:
Franklin and Michael were kind of boring characters.
Not being able to go into different buildings.
    Cops can get too aggressive.
    Pedestrians get killed too easily.

    GTA V

not being able to explore buildings and follow NPCs home like Rockstar said

GTA IV - Every car felt like it was driving on ice, no colour palette, zero customization, shooting mechanics were subpar, trash weapon selection

GTA V - Michael & Franklin were some of the most one dimensional characters in a major game, honestly felt like Rockstar threw Franklin in as a discount CJ to please fans. Also the story is incredibly linear. Everything was else amazing.

GTA III - More difficult compared to other GTAs, no interiors, no motorcycles, you don't see characters like Joey or Toni again

GTA Vice City - Map was small as s***, you run faster than cars in the game, the car handling was ass.

GTA SA - Gun sounds were garbage, Sweet's missions were repetitive, Ryder died way too easily & wasn't treated like a big deal

GTA IV - Missions were boring except Three Leaf Clover & Museum Piece, didn't like how grey the game was, the car handling was ass.

GTA V - Weak story, Trevor the most try hard character of all time. Franklin was dry. Game had like 2 serious moments. The antagonists were absolute ass cheeks. Last mission where you go to Devin Weston's mansion with just 2 guards guarding him, is the laziest last mission in GTA, no single player DLC, no interiors like GTA IV

I don’t get it how RDR and Especially RDR2 got such an amazing stories 10 times above any GTA

The only GTA with a decent story is SA

GTA 3, VC, SA and to some extent 4 have horrible/non existent mission checkpoints meaning if you die 30 mins into a 45 min mission you’re gonna have to do that s*** all over again from the start.

GTA 4 had no interesting weapons or vehicles. Also the cops show up and start homing in on you for the smallest things.

I think they place more emphasis in the GTA games on the matters like satire, weaponry, and fancy cars/aircrafts. As a result, the story is typically quite chunky and colour by numbers.

Red Dead on the other hand lends itself far easier to having a stronger storyline. It’s a better backdrop, the world is far less populous and feels more organic. You also play as a much, much stronger protagonist (John and Arthur are way stronger than anything GTA offer).

Gta 3: Aged like milk controls are not that good

VC: not being able to swim

SA: Story falls off after you leave Los Santos also never understood why CJ couldn't kill tennpenny.

4: Driving isn't fun, music is meh.

5: missing details that gta 4 and rdr had like shooting people in the knees makes them limp. Also Online content like jetpacks aren't in single player

I liked the story in 4 as it felt serious, for the most part. But I still love 5 but you right, story felt a lot more silly which made it a lot of fun but not as engaging to me

GTA 5 doesn't have comedy clubs to go to like 4 did. Can't fly out of windshield nearly as easily.

    GTA VC: that helicopter mission.

  • Apr 4, 2020

GTA III- Controls are absolute ass. I rather play it on ios than console at this point.

GTA: Vice City- The open world isn't as engaging, despite improvement to 3. Missions were frustrating too.

GTA: San Andreas- Tough. Best GTA imo, but f*** that train mission with Big Smoke. Smoke AI can't hit for s***.

GTA IV- Ugly color scheme. Realistic tone is boring. Missions can be bland, especially escort missions are sleeperfests.

GTA V- Open world has a bit too much going on for my taste. I don't care that I can golf now.
