When there's a culture mix and the Black character or non white character does something that makes the white character uncomfortable. Gotta keep these folk on their toes. Never want them being that comfortable round me
But seriously I got a few
When the best way to win is to not fight
"Son becoming the father"
When a character is so prideful it kills him
Cop/detective who has to become something that makes him unable to be a part of the society he is protecting
Protag and antag showdown in rain or everything is on fire
Gundam does this a few times but I love a "re-entry" fight.
When a character refuses to engage/interact with a main character and their plans, leaves the room, only to be told something by the MC that cause them to freeze in the middle of the doorway and reconsider
Big Eater

Bonus:
Absolute Cleavage

Most involving dreams.
Character has to choose between dream and reality
Character enters another characters mind for information or to solve an issue
Is it a dream or reality
The visualization of a character’s mind
The dreamscape and reality interact with and affect each other
I don’t really like the straightforward “it was all a dream” ending though
I also like massive unreliable narrator games. (See Mr. Robot S2.)
when the protagonist walks into a room and there’s someone sitting facing away in a swivel chair they turn to reveal who they are. classic
Revenge stories where the person trying to get revenge crosses lines and becomes hellbent on vengeance turning them into a completely different person
When a characters been trying to hold in their emotions for a long time and finally snap and go off in a long monologue
when in whodunnits they go through the whole sequence and everytime theres more detail
not sure if this is a trope

along the lines of the pride one, i personally love when a character is so prideful it kills all those around him. like pure selfishness leads to the deaths of those they love. true fatal flaw
when the guy gets the girl
sometimes i like when the guy doesn't get the girl depending on the context
like niggas kill me for saying aang shouldn't have gotten to hook up with katara at the end of Avatar, but narratively I think it would have been more apt.

Mr. Robot is an amazing show. S3 and 4 cemented it as goat tier television
