I liked MMOs as a kid but never could afford a good enough PC to run them.

And by the time I COULD afford one MMOs as an entire genre were starting to die out

    Itโ€™s not fair

The Sims and Elder Scrolls 3 Morrowind. Both games required me to learn that I had to upgrade my s*** pc to play something I really wanted to. It all just snowballed from there.

Back when my PS3 broke in 2011 I had no choice but to play free to play PC games on steam and from browser websites... And I can actually tell you that the pay to win models in those free shooter games from the late 2000s to early 2010s are the reason why every $60 game has microstransations now lmao.

Even tho I enjoyed my experience through that era I would never go back to PC tho sticking with console having way too much fun with my friends and exclusives.
