Immortal Technique when I started reading thats my best example.

    this a white people thing

nah this a were getting older and nostalgic for the old times type of thing.

no matter how much we don't wanna admit it. you get attatched to the first album that really put you onto an artist just like your first hit of d****.

you want that same feeling over and over again and you want it to be better each and every time.

giving that to your fans is really hard to do time after time.

    Eh these records mean nothing

Once you reach future’s level it’s easy to just s*** out songs and they will chart based off brand name alone

Doesn’t really signify anything, and I love Future

I have a theory that ever since Thug got commercial success he’s been desperately afraid of going back to dirt sales. Most evident by the Punk tracklist change up, which turned what could’ve been an amazing album into simply a good one. Song like Bubbly did not even close to fit the theme but he probably just won’t accept lower sales anymore, so he took a shortcut with some stream bait songs

He gave us like 400+ Songs of some of the best music ever so it’s fine lol

not as hot, like people on KTT wont be as excited

but high off life was his highest selling album yet

and Way 2 Sexy is the biggest hit of his career

he’ll definitely sell his highest FW sales yet for his next album

a trap rapper (not a pop star like the Canadian boy) with more hits than elvis means nothing?!?!

Not just that, records mean nothing in the age of streaming

Y’all hold artists up against music they made in the past and a feeling you associate with it so when they drop new music it doesn’t hit the same because you aren’t in the same space and then y’all say “they fell off”

  • Nov 12, 2021

idk but Thug been renegading features

  • Nov 12, 2021

Tbh, travis I'll give him some leeway cause he hasn't drop an album in years but future and thug last project weren't all that

  • dr3am_weaver_479

thug more into supporting his network/family

trav more into being a brand

i think fewtch heart is still is in music as it ever was really, he's just so consistent the peaks dont have as much gravity without the valleys

This the realest response so far in my opinion. At a certain point it just stops being as fun to make music and live the life of a rapper. Like Thug said in a recent interview, the entire appeal of most rappers is in their youth. So when you get older it inevitably gets harder to be dominating the conversation in rap.

    Future should not be here.
