It's been f*** Adobe for years now but their products have a stronghold on the market and nothing can compare
I did join Mastodon for awhile but the instance I was in wasn't very relatable
For my laptop I run Pop!_OS, I would use Libre Office but Google docs does the job most the time now unfortunately.
I like Affinity not open source tho
Honestly if Adobe didn't move to subscription model I wouldn't despise them as much
i would like to try blender soon
also not open source but pixelmator pro is a pretty solid photoshop alternative for macOS. cheap too.

also bruh torrents lol. Even though I got f***ed over with a russian copy of photoshop and there's no option to change the language lmao. I've never bought a daw/program ever. I do have a legal version of FL studio tho because my boy gave me his account

yeah the subscription s*** is bs
I think it's a good option for some users but the fact they have no none subscription products now and charge a huge cancellation fee
they get worse all the time
I avoid their stuff whenever I can
I don’t do artistic work but isn’t Blender like a big thing?
We used Blender in my Game Programming class like 3 yrs ago when I was still in college. Didn’t know people actually was using Adobe for anything still.
Gimp was a big thing even before I went to college for the open sources free community as well as a ps alternative.
Honestly if Adobe didn't move to subscription model I wouldn't despise them as much
I believe it was to stop piracy

there’s just so much amount of info available for it to use anything else
