BPD is a confusing acronym. BPD is commonly used to refer to borderline personality disorder which is very very different from Bipolar disorder, Which is diagnosed as either type 2 or type 1
the difference between them being that 1 has psychosis symptoms while the type 2 does not..
Usually type 2 becomes type 1 because bipolar is a progressive "thing"
