cause she has a point. it's been standard for some artists to try to go viral before their label will even let them release songs, and in about a week that method is gonna be curtains. not to mention how song lengths have definitely changed + there's hella songs out rn that are basically 30 seconds that makes a good tiktok and 2 minutes of filler. i don't forsee reels or youtube shorts absorbing that type of content so what's next? are we going back to soundcloud links?

i’ve had enough of these s***ty “artists” & their microwave meme music, terrible lyrics, insulting attempts to rap & filters that stabilize the camera on their face

Although there has been some good stuff off there too & older songs blowing up.

The trend of making songs for tik tok will hopefully die. Music artists having to be content creators (in the worst form of the word) will hopefully die

Tiktok helped so many established artists expand their fanbases, it helped local bands reach people around them, and helped blow up older songs that maybe didn't get the love they deserved at first.

No other algorithm has been able to do those things as effectively
