I'm working with an M1 MacBook Pro with 8GB of RAM.
I'm tempted to try Logic Pro, because it seems to be a good value, but I'm open to other suggestions.
I also want to buy a MIDI controller.
Are these decent for beginners?

Also, I know these are not the best audio quality, but will my
Sony WH-1000 XM4 be good enough headphones when they'e using a wired connection and not bluetooth?
MPK Mini is perfect for beginners tbh
i'd recommend FL Studio as a great entry DAW since it is user friendly

I’m not against that, I’m just hesitant since I’m using a Mac (with limited ram) to not go with the program optimized for Mac ya know

oh thats facts then get logic my g
Logic is 100% the best DAW to work with on Mac, followed by pro tools but I wouldn’t recommend starting there. Reaper is also a great option with free trial
let me help u out breh
ive been producing for yrs but switched to an M1 8g ram mac just like u and now im trying to set up my stuff again
found a working FL20 crack but also found out there is no working purity crack for the M1 macs (yet). I'll either wait it out or just buy a copy
working on an omnisphere rip now ill prob post an update in here.
FL is definitely the best daw to learn in, but logic is more mac-ish, if that's important to u.
I can get u links to all the stuff i mentioned, dm me (add me as a friend, click the three dots, click send message)

cracked software doesn’t get updates tho, right?
There is no “best DAW”
The most popular are FL Studio, Ableton, and Pro Tools
Watch some videos and see what bodes well with you

Logic is where I started. I'm on Ableton now and I think it's best DAW. But it really doesn't matter at the end of day. Just choose and master the program
@op if u have garageband free on ur mac, mess around with that, its a good daw that a lotta big artists still use
if u like how its laid out and everything, then consider logic, both very user friendly
but im sure u can also find a logic crack, i cracked it then bought it like a year later
I'm leaning towards FL Studio. If I go through with that, should id download the M1 Native version or the Intel version (will run through Rosetta 2)
apparently FL Studio also reccomedns 4GB of ram so I'm doing just fine in that department

I use logic and have a Mac but it doesn't really matter. What matters is who you are. If you are dedicated to working at getting better as consistently as possible you will make progress. Just have to be persistent and force yourself to work through the problems to face instead of giving up.

I think it’s the easiest to learn and get used to, only other one i tried was logic and it wasn’t bad either.
