you can stick to one or two summoning types, you just have to build around it

if you at least enjoyed/know Synchro then you will fit in a lot easier

I stick mostly to Fusion & XYZ

That's another thing Omega has formats and one is you can play old school Yu-Gi-Oh that doesn't have the summoning mechanics like Synchro, XYZ, Links, pendulum.

some of these new effect cards have so much text that the game has 2 pages of text and the font is small af on the card itself

yeah these type, i cant imagine how bad it is on physical cards at least you can zoom online

thankfully barely anyone plays them n theyre not needed anymore in the meta

its just ass n not fun n convoluted, plus link kinda replaces it n imo is superior

from what i seen on yt from a few yugtubers that i watched to help get back into things, no one really likes nor plays pendulum anymore outside of a handful for certain decks

idk how they were in their hayday but theyre def my least fav out of the added card summons

Pendulum use to be fun back before they nerfed it. It was faster and wasn't as convoluted.

I like all the new card types except pendulum that s*** is annoying n hard to track, xyz is my fav tho that s*** is goat its like tribute n ritual summoning put together but way more convenient n flexible. im still rusty on link summoning, n i do fine with syncho.

but i only started playing a week ago lmao i havet played literally since Yugioh GX days when i was middle school irrc, im HS class of 2014

im doing decent now but the first few days were terrible, ive been silver once but mostly still bronze atm. i usually win one n lose one now.

would suggest downloading yugioh dawn of a new era on pc/laptop its free n runs on any power, it has AI that uses meta decks you can practice n learn from also they have an in depth deck builder. you can even download meta decks n use them n pick them apart.

then a few days ago i started playing on at Dueling Nexus & their deck builder is CRAZY as well

its diffcult af especially the first day but i been wanting to get in forquite sometime now so i pushed thru, i also chose an archetype i really like, a dino deck, which helps a lot to get going. it sucked d*** af but since i was genuinely insterested in making it better n playong that helped the building n theory process plus the growing pains.

now i have a dope beast deck that also has way more in general support

i play slow for the most part n dont go above 4 chains usually but i also play hella cards they call "floodgate", its cards that restrict your opponents amount of summoning and attacking etc. in one turn its dope n turns it a bit back into old school

there is an old classic format tho that is pre synchro, the og, its called GOAT format (literally lmao) and you can play it online at Dueling Book. It includes caards n the banlist from the og japan release from like 98/99 up to 2005 usa/jp, first few episodes of gx.

i played it for a day it was fun and a good way to spark further interest or take a break.

Never got into the Yugioh card game but I remember the nerds used to put real money on it in the lunchroom like they was rolling dice truly a different breed, can't even hate the hustle
