from my totally amateur POV, mbdtf sounds better to me than a lot of more contemporary albums which really lack punch! like i think mixing sounds kinda poor again to my untrained ears in a few thug and YSL albums in particular, like everything's just getting lost rather than being distinct and clean

normie friends with no musical knowledge told me the sounds are harsh and sound muddy
