    #2 right behind Jordan.

Michael is the greatest but Kobe to me is the most skilled basketball player to ever step on the court. The man had more in his duffel bag than any other player. He used Mike's blueprint to build his foundation and excelled and surpassed his own abilities. The stories of this guy are that of folklore, for starters just read the stories of him about the 2008 Olympics.

Dude had perfected the fadeaway, could shake defenders with hesitations and jab steps. Just when you think that was it, he would back you up, shake to the right and hit you with a left handed fade - what the f***?!

Shumpert was quoted saying something like "i defended the first two moves I didn't know there was going to be 3-4 more coming!" Players couldn't sleep the night prior knowing they had to guard this man.

Offensively, the man was a swiss army knife in attacking options. The most feared player in the NBA for more than a decade. Defensively, he'd guard your favourite player and laugh.

It's an absolute shame how after he retired, the media tried erasing his legacy one morning show at a time by spewing random numbers, stats and creating absurd conversations. They only opened their eyes to his greatness once he had passed.

Totally agree with this, his shot making ability is neck and neck wit Jordan’s.
