I remember he had a bunch of hype during 2018/2019 but then I forgot about him until he dropped that album recently. I personally enjoyed it and was interested to see the public reception to it then was surprised to see how little commercial success the album and his singles have had. Solid. He's for sure still finding his sound right now. I feel like Politics & Violence was the perfect combination for him. But I'd like for him to go back to that more Alternative vibe. He says he's already working on the next album so that's good.

I watched the Hulu special he had and it's clear to me he feels pressured to release hits. He came up in the scene so fast by signing that $4 mil record deal. He needed the money for his family so he took it. But I feel like now that he got the debut out the way it relieved some pressure to drop an album.
