In the 80s, the big four were Anthrax, Slayer, Megadeth & Metallica. 1990s saw this shift to Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains & Soundgarden. The 2000s had Lil Wayne, Kanye, Eminem and T.I. and the 2010s were dominated by Kendrick Lamar, Drake, J Cole & Meek Mill.
KTT2, who are the current big 4 of the 2020s?
50 cent not in the big 4 of the 00s?
So is this big 4 across all genres?
Yup, all genres. The artists that were really dominating the airwaves in their respective decades

50 & Hov were considered for the 2000s, but I ultimately opted for the current selection. I feel like the four I listed edged it out.

Shouldn’t MJ be in the 80s?
Shouldn’t MJ be in the 80s?
Anthrax was probably a little bigger
Ain't no top 4. It's just the same ol top 3. Aubs Kendrick and Cole. Or a top 2, cuz kendrick doesn't really drop anything
i don't really believe that there can be anymore. there's so many artists that blow up or are mainstream, but aren't all that compelling enough to count as a "big 4." music is so saturated but the quality has sunk.
Anthrax was probably a little bigger
MJ never shredded a guitar like Scott Ian
Shouldn’t MJ be in the 80s?
That was my fifth choice but indeed, very close
Baby Keem
Don Toliver
Remble
Duke Deuce
For rap in the 2010s it was Drake, Kendrick, Nicki and Cole or Future
Rn it’s Lil Baby, Doja and two other people I guess
