  • Loved this series when i was a kid and thought it was lioned. While I was in college though i had a couple jobs where i was a mentor/TA and I was completely astounded by the amount of kids who had not read, much less heard of the series.

Thought it was a classic for kids growing up in the 2000's but IG not?

Yeah, I loved those books in the early 00s. I read the first 3 or 4 of them. The last one that I read was about a fairy computer or something like that.

yeah, that was three. If you got time, i'd def recommend checking out the rest of the series, it scales pretty well. Except for the last book. That one was really disappointing.

I actually purchased the first two on my eReader a couple of years ago in an episode of nostalgic depression, lol. I haven't gotten around to reading them yet tho. I'll probably restart the series here soon, they're a pretty easy read from what I can remember.

What was disappointing about the last one? Poor writing? Bad plot? Anti-climatic?

I was a big fan when I was younger, think I got to book 5 or 6 before I kinda forgot about them. Had some of the companion books too.

I haven't watched the movie yet, haven't heard good things about it either

Didn't really capture the spirit of the series and kinda jumped the shark

Wimpy kid series has no misses. Only the 'kid' stuff I can still read, amazing humor. Great 25 min reads too.
