Only thing I distinctly remember is they got really meta towards the end and Artemis became “powerful”, which kinda lessened the intellect aspect of the series

    Iirc

Artemis Fowl was a GOAT read as a kid. I think after my big Harry Potter phase that was like a slightly more grown up thing for me.

It slowly became less interesting and I dropped out by the 7th book or so, like the first 5 or so were pretty great though

It did in the late 90s, early 00s

Those who transform on the covers are the actors/actresses from it

    Oh wow didn’t know that

    Geronimo Stilton anyone?

    woof, now there's a throwback

It and keys to the kingdom were in the same tier to me

Behind the Percy Jackson-esque joints and Animorphs and substantially behind Harry Potter/Hunger Games/Twilight

Keys to the kingdom just unlocked memoriessss

Loved this series when i was a kid and thought it was lioned. While I was in college though i had a couple jobs where i was a mentor/TA and I was completely astounded by the amount of kids who had not read, much less heard of the series.

Thought it was a classic for kids growing up in the 2000's but IG not?

I was aware of em but I never read one

In the 2000’s kids books list id rank it like this

    1. Wimpy kid
    2. Hunger games
    3. Percy Jackson
    4. Artemis fowl

percy jackon and artemis fowl way better than the hunger games

diary of a wimpy kid is a classic but feels really out of place here, idk
