NATO is critical in facing the Chinese threat. It is not the irrelevant entity it's made out to be. We actually need it more than ever. Today, Nato has 30 members including most of Europe, representing a population of more than 980 million.

Also Trump is right about NATO partners not spending enough, every NATO country should be paying a minimum of 2%.

NATO moves towards spending goal sought by Trump, Spain lags

The accumulated increase in defense spending by the end of 2024 will be 400 billion U.S. dollars. This is unprecedented progress,” Stoltenberg told a news conference before the NATO summit in London next Tuesday and Wednesday.

Everyone loses when the nukes fly

Without nukes, the USA wins and it's not even close. The USA has a bigger arsenal, more allies, and allies in strategic areas.

It could go both ways. China is leading the world right now in the A.I race.

A war in 2020 isn’t going to be people shooting each other back and forth in trenches, that’s so last century lol.

A Modern war between 2 powerhouse countries is gonna have A.I drones, autonomous weapons and other crazy s*** that utilizes A.I/machine learning algorithms.

    Indeed!

The Navy has released video of the LaWS on deployment disabling a ScanEagle UAV, detonating a rocket propelled grenade, and burning out the engine of a rigid hull inflatable boat. Officials said it is working beyond expectations. Compared to hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars for a missile, one laser shot costs only 59 cents.

Artificial intellegence already plays a bigger role in your life than you may think. You already use it on a day-to-day basis with things like Siri, Amazon Alexa, Netflix/Youtube recommendations ,etc.

Militaries are also obviously going to keep up with the latest tech to ensure they don't get left behind. Let's also not forget that the U.S military was already using the internet to communicate with each other in the 1960's. It wasn't until the 1990's that the internet was finally introduced to the general public with the World-Wide-Web.

The list of things I mentioned aren't even that crazy lol. A lot the tech is either already prepared , or currently in the works.

If this is what they're willing to show us, then imagine the type of things that they're hiding from us ?

I also suggest you check this vid out if you got 10min to spare. It's interesting and worth a watch.

By every metric except potential army size, the US has China beat by a considerable margin. But both America and China rely on each other so heavily that war is the last thing they want

How did the US get so military heavy? I know they increased significantly in the 1910s and from then on we've just gotten huge

The atom bomb era opened up a lot of militaristic benefits for the US. And the fact that we had Nazi in sweat shop coming up with new s*** for us to during that time.

    We got hella lucky.

  • Jun 21, 2020

Realistically, the US would only go to war with a middle eastern country or North Korea. And maybe a Caribbean or West Indies country if one of them starts some f*** s***. Countries like Italy or China or Australia aren’t really on the “let’s f*** these niggas up” list. There’s way too much at stake

come on bro chinese military never seen action they just practice marching every day. they have numbers but they don't have experience and they gonna be deer caught in headlights

  • Jun 21, 2020

just looking at the $ amt isn’t the full picture... we spend a lot more on salaries and benefits for military, they have a bigger population so they don’t pay nearly as much or provide as many amenities or protection or post-service care. Also the Chinese have a practice of integrating all of the biggest technological progress (and stolen IP from Us companies) into their military automatically instead of separate spending so R&D calculates differently. We still got an advantage but it’s closer than people think
