Two of the most impactful artist of our time.

IMO I’d say Ye, but PAC died so young that we’ll never know what more he would’ve done had he lived throughout his 30’s/40’s

Was thinking since these are both artists, who most would say are legends, who’s better?

Who’s the better artist? lyricist? Is it the suburban black kid from Chicago who went on to influence a modern generation of MCs, or is the NY born, West-Side reppin “thug angel” that has been called Hip-Hop’s first icon?

How would albums like CD/LR/Graduation/808s/MBDTF stack up against 2Pacalypse/SFMN.I.G.G.A.Z./MATW/All Eyez On Me/The 7 Day Theory.

Both were/are influential to Hip-Hop so no “Oh well, Pac is recognized all over the world.” Because Kanye is too. They both have shrines and murals etc after them all over the globe, the only difference is that Kanye is still living.

    Anyway, thoughts?

    stretch, Kanye has many influences

I like the comparisons. Ye is definitely influenced by Pac and tells a lot. Although I consider Ye the greater artist, the energy and charisma of Pac is to this day, unmatched. The man knew he would die any minute and he lived by it.

Kanye’s influence stretch across music, culture, fashion, art etc. And this is what I believe most people forget. It’s not just the music.
