Seems like a ton of modern right rhetoric involves at least some conspiracy theories about dems, and usually some about Jews, antifa, or whatever topic of the day (covid, mass gun confiscation, etc)

Not to say leftists don’t believe some stupid stuff too, or bend truths, but typically they aren’t just making up random s***

Russian collusion? It’s a fact that people in the trump admin worked with Russians.

Did dems try and run with that to try and impeach? Yes. And obviously mueller found no evidence of trump himself colluding, but still. It’s hardly among the ranks of Soros and Q level conspiracies

The point about media backing leftist conspiracies is valid tho, I guess it’s all about perspective. But it does seem like it’s more prevalant on the right

Nah you’re correct in saying it’s more prevalent on the right, definitely.

There just needs to be more people who can acknowledge that both sides are bad and that the truth is somewhere in between partisan lines, or even applicable to both.

Not just “This theory is true because of these reasons, so that means we need to support Trump!” or “This theory is true because of these reasons, so that means we need to impeach Trump!” type s***...

That’s the problem with Alex Jones characters, he started off as a truth seeker but over the past decade he’s politically aligned himself onto the side of Trump. Whereas back in the day he wasn’t afraid of exposing the Bush family or the Bohemian Grove, because he could face the fact that both republican and democrat politicians play for the same team at the end of the day by f***ing over all of us normal people

Yeah, it definitely seems like actual truth is a rarity from either side. It’s funny too because both sides try to have this image of “bearers of uncomfortable truth” while they both preach their own twisted version of events.

The reason I made this thread tho, is just from browsing political discussions on the internet, you typically see leftists complaining about relatively normal things (trump violated this law, some R senator is trying to stop all abortions, etc), while the right tends to veer towards kinda crazy s*** (dems are pedos, Jews control everything, they’re coming to take away all our guns). Again, just personal observation and I definitely align left, so there’s a bit of bias too, but still

mostly because the right wing is full of people who think in black and white, don’t like facts and don’t believe in science.

liberalism controls majority of media in the world and don’t forget you can be liberal and fall on either the right or the left.

most right wing conspiracies are ridiculous so they don’t get entertained: crisis actors for mass shootings, cultural marxism (which is a stupid term) etc

most conspiracies that actually do make their way to liberal news are ones that are aimed at enemies of the west.
