bc the media funnels you information like a pig waiting for slop and most people don’t discern that their news sources are manipulating the way events are recounted to you
gabby petito and rittenhouse were distractions
It’s not that hard to figure out lol, the Arbery case was pretty much a slam dunk and anyone with a few brain cells understood those mf’s were not walking free
The Rittenhouse case had much more nuance and details to go through which = larger attention and discuss between the general public
Mostly cus of the theatrics of the rittenhouse case (the weirdo judge, bozo attorneys, rittenhouse Oscar bait performance) and cus everyone wanted to be mad at him being not guilty which was kinda obvious if you knew the details of the situation
The arbery case was obviously more f***ed up but we all knew they were all going away. No other way it could turn out
Rittenhouse is polarizing and might force average "sensible" whites to take the side of a murderer "on the facts". It cements that 30% of the country further, isolating them. It also divides people along racial lines which is always helpful in destabilizing any diverse coalitions. The right doesn't need those. This is all without involving black victims which makes it particularly useful in having plausible deniability.
The Arbery case doesn't have much political value to exploit. That's all the news is going to do: exploit it.
People don't care about justice being done, they want perceived injustice so that they can have something to rail against to give their lives meaning.
Both got A LOT OF coverage
But it’s okay OP, yet another s***ty thread by you
Nothing to see here folks

I don’t have tv for this very reason and get all my news from r/moderatepolitics
Because the Rittenhouse case was more complicated so it sought a lot of argumentation which made it easier to milk
2nd amendment + apparently way more footage , all white people involved so there’s more room for “sensational” coverage instead of having to toe the subject of race. I’d like to think most people were on the same side of the Arbery case, & were simply hoping for the right verdict, I doubt anyone would want to even watch the footage of that murder more than once at most, it’s so sad

The Rittenhouse came became left vs right with information from both sides having validity. It also showcased how the media can spin basically anything and implant ideas in people's heads
The more I read about that case the more I realized people just pick teams like sports and run with it no matter what
i didnt pay attention to the trial cuz niggas get trialed every day B. Won't change a thing no kizzy
yall are so focused on the social media aspect of things...

This man threatening KTT users every other day
The Arbery case was pretty much open and shut, and most people (who aren't racist and/or stupid) knew the three men who killed him very clearly acted on bigotry and racism and were guilty.
With the Rittenhouse case media was able to whip people up into a s***storm because while Rittenhouse is clearly the only one responsible for the deaths that happened that night cause he was a dumbass teenager going to a place he had no place being at, on a technicality he was still defending himself.
Pretty much the Rittenhouse case would get people talking and picking sides. The Arbery case was cut and dry, and anyone on the side of the three men who killed Ahmaud Arbery were very clearly in the wrong.
