Just something I've noticed as of late...with hip-hop releases unless something goes terribly wrong usually you only get a leak the day or two before...with rock albums it seems like the leaks are weeks in advance...I just saw an article about Ozzy Osbourne unveiling the tracklist for his new album meanwhile the whole thing's already out and has been for a good week or so...is there less oversight or what? just curious

Most rock fans probably don’t even know how to access leaks, so there’s less emphasis on pre-release security.
