There has to be a reason why you do t like something but some people can’t even explain why they don’t. Is not liking something just unfamiliarity or a different standard? There’s many reasons. Sometimes we don’t like something because it’s popular or has too much hype. But why don’t you like it? Is it our brain? Tell me a song you don’t like and why. Explain to me because I want to understand this phenomenon of disliking. I can’t even understand it myself

I dont like alot of jazz because it bores me. The sounds dont captivate me and i guess i simply dont understand how technically proficient they are. Cant tell difference between a great and mediocre pianist/saxophonist. I think alot of Jazz appeal comes from understanding chords and scales and all that.

You're 100% right. As a classical musician it's the same way, most casual listeners (I don't mean that in a negative way) just simply don't understand what's going on within the music and that's why jazz and classical musicians love it so much, because they understand all the innerworkings and context of the music.

If I feel like I am wasting time listening to music I would say it is bad. Sound and production are the most important factors. Flow and text come next. If song has a 3 minute loop as beat without progression then there better be a great hook and flow. Otherwise that s*** is trash. Basically all the Uzi and So much fun stuff I dislike because of this type of production.
