Instead of being direct and working out our problems with people, we just ghost them to avoid any confrontation. Why is that ?

yeah, and we wonder why we're so alone

no one wants to directly work each other's issues out, and its kinda sad, because arguably ghosting does nothing but increase those tensions and makes the issue worse

Your avi and username are both trash.

    That direct enough for you?

  • Oct 14, 2021

Ego and terrible social skills preventing people from actually articulating themselves during a dialogue to produce reasonable solutions.

Niggas would rather be wrong and angry than corrected and educated because they are sheltered, lonely and probably sad.

Because the primary form of communication for a lot of people are emojis and lame acronyms that are used way out of context. People feel they don't have to deal with people and it's hard to blame them. Technology has created endless layers between people and that without discipline results in some ugly ish

Most relationships are superficial and shallow at best...so lying, avoiding, or ghosting shows a lack of respect or a lack of a strong bond with that person.

Then you have people who want to sustain these superficial relationships because they provide something, but are afraid to be "real" because then that could possibly sever the relationship.

I should be far more socially adept than I am and I think it's because my parents neglected me emotionally. Raised myself with the internet from like age 11 in the mid 00s onward. Miracle I ain't an loser or something.

But I feel like gen z and earlier just stood no chance cuz of the prevalence of social media and how heavily it influences life.

I managed to live a a***og enough life for long enough that it didn't f*** me up entirely and I KNOW I sound like I'm f***in 78 years old or some s*** but NAH U JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND

Nah you right fam the fact that we’ve been alive enough to see the world before and after social media while still at a young age is a privilege tbh.

Seeing how social media affects gen z while we still fully understand what it is and being technologically sound is pretty special cause this is all they know. In a way they’re the first true test subjects of the internet age.

    Your not wrong.

But you can see the signs in real life. So i can actually do something about it. (I have many times).

Harder to tell online with everyone trolling all the time.

I mean a lot of people ain’t really worth the confrontation

I know for a fact that I rather detach from at least 95% of ppl around me instead of attempting to resolve things with them just cause I honestly don’t care much. The majority of my time is spent alone anyways & I think technology has made it so that ppl are much more expendable today.

Social connections are important but I don’t get mfers who wanna be socially connected all the damn time or have people stay in their lives for years.

I wouldn’t label that as assive aggression tho. More like non-chalance
