what is more meaningful, a planet of robots created with no choice but to worship god, or a planet of beings that have the option to choose evil but still choose god?

I’m still working out what I believe too, but this is always how I’ve answered that question.

I've heard people us this argument, but personally, I'd have no problem living in eternal euphoria without free will and I feel like most people would agree. could be wrong tho

but why would he allow a scenario where millions will burn in hell to move forward, instead of creating being to live in euphoria with no desire to sin?

cuz then there isn't free will

@op Going to be answered in a couple of responses. Hopefully this helps lol

    Isaiah 45:7
I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.

Check out Job chapter 2. The Book Of Job is about a man who had everything in his life, then went to nothing. Satan wanted to try him and have Job curse God so Job would die. Job never did this and was tried by his faith.

It shows that Satan works for God. Satan's whole purpose is to try the hearts and faith of humanity. When Satan can plant a seed of wickedness in someone's heart, this case Adam & Eve, unless we repent and have God remove that seed within us, then the fulness of that seed has to grow and reap its harvest. This seed again is planted within our hearts. We either have God's seed or have the seed of wickedness within us. Tree of Good n Evil.

That harvest hasn't reached its fulness yet until the time of Revelation 14:14-20. This is also explained and parallel by Jesus in John 15:1-17. It's all about our hearts being turned to God.

    Jeremiah 17:10
I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

For clarification: Satan is the devils name. Lucifer was a nickname used in Isaiah 14:12 to make a mockery out of the Babylonian King, King Nebuchadnezzar. Lucifer is Latin for light bearer. The Hebrew word for Lucifer is Hêlēl. It details that the Babylonian King thought in his heart, he was the god/light of the world. More details in this sentence

Jesus is the true light of the world.

People do use that Isaiah 14:12-14 passage to detail Satan but it's not skillfully dividing the word. It's hella popular even amongst "well learned" people.

It’s honestly just a story bro

But someone could say that God needed something to challenge him to begin with since he’s all knowing & powerful

This would be fine if eternal damnation wasn’t apparat of the equation

A all knowing & loving God creates something he loves but also allows evil that he could prevent to exist even at the cost of their souls?

It’s best just to understand these as just stories tbh

Unless you want to come to the conclusion that the Christian God only created existence for “play” & sees things as a game ultimately

God made vessels for heaven and he made vessels for hell. There's a balance for everything. Winners and Losers.

    Proverbs 16:4
4 The Lord hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.

    Romans 9:20-21
20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?

21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

22 What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:

Even in the book of Genesis, there is always light and dark. In Genesis 1:16 it details that God made the Light (Jesus) and darkness (devil) lesser light to rule darkness. The stars represent the spirits of us that follow these lights. Some say this represents Jacob & Esau as Jacob is Israel and Esau is the last kingdom ruling the earth before Jesus returns.

    Genesis 1:16
16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

Because he already did. The Angels.
In Islam we believe the Angels worship God without fault and fulfil his every command because they were created without free will.

Humans have the free will to worship God or not and if successful in the next life,
human kind will have a higher rank than the Angels due to them choosing belief over disbelief

    Quran23:115-117
"Then did you think that We created you uselessly and that to Us you would not be returned?
So exalted is Allah, the Sovereign, the Truth; there is no deity except Him, Lord of the Noble Throne.
And whoever invokes besides Allah another deity for which he has no proof - then his account is only with his Lord. Indeed, the disbelievers will not succeed."

    Omniscient: knowing everything

In the Christian religion, Lucifer (the devil) was originally an angel.

If God is omniscient, he would know that Lucifer would challenge him, causing Lucifer to be sent to hell. This would lead to Lucifer tempting Eve to sin, which would lead to all the sin and suffering in our world today.

Why would an omniscient God create a being that he knew would lead to the corruption of his creation?

I'm currently in the process of trying to figure out what I believe, so any answer from any view point would be appreciated.

    Islamic perspective.
    Iblis means Satan.

Satan was also given free will

I mean how are you supposed to know good without evil?

    They go hand and hand

Exactly. If there was no evil, then good wouldn’t be “good”. It was just be what things are. The duality of life is necessary in many ways.
