Ultimately I think it comes down to the culture within any given group at any given time. Predictions over the circumstances that will continue to define culture are beyond me.

Women there don't see the men as masculine enough to warrant having relationships with them. The men don't see the women as worth it as they have all they need on the internet to satisfy their desire.
