There was so much hype on the original wlr bc everyone was expecting a trap classic.
The snippets had already been played so much that fans would've complained if it was all snippets. Furthermore, there is no way it would have been able to live up to the extremely high expectations.
The full version songs of the snippets Ould be considered a disappointment (as most full versions of snippets are) bc the snippet usually has the best part.
Thus, the org would not have lived up to expectations and received backlash for being boring which I would argue is worse than being considered an experimental misfire(which it is most certainly not) by some

Doubt it tbh. A lot of his fanbases knows of the leaks but I feel like that's still a small portion where wlr v1, a more mainstream album, would of still been more successful and even his fanbase that knows of the leaks would of been cool with the songs in its finished form.

I didn't think Pain 1993 was that bad, and I though @meh was fire. But I normally don't like Carti at all, and don't understand what's supposed to make Pain Carti better or worse than a normal Carti feature. It's not like he's spitting regardless so what does the voice matter?
