A 2023 Souls-like game with their own unique twist by Team Ninja who is the only developer (besides FS of course) that do Souls-like right imo. Theyre the ones that also make the Nioh series (souls-like games), and before that they also made the legendary Ninja Gaiden (hack n slash action games) & Dead or Alive (fighting games) series'.
Some ex Bloodborne devs including a major BB producer have joined on to make this amazing looking game. Looks like Nioh x Ninja Gaiden. Im a big fan of the studio already, & Team Ninja is also making a Sony exclusive for 2024 that is called Rise of the Ronin. One of my fav studios & Im also gigantic fan of the Nioh & NG series', n I loved Dead or Alive from 2 to 4 before it got too pervy n fanservice for the weirdoes with 5 n on, but it funds all their ambitious projects so it is what it is lmao.

I just played for a little and I agree. Really looking forward to this.
Took me a bit to get my bearings. Whenever a new Souls/Nioh game drops, I legit forget how to play every single time
Played the demo for a good couple of hours to get accustomed to it. It's definitely Nioh feel but separates itself enough imo.
Counter was a bit hard to pull off consistently at first, but I eventually realized I didn't need to try it on everything. The added jump and verticality does a lot for the gameplay. Overall, them boys did it again

i was mastering that s*** at the end
i countered the boss the whole time to win basically
wallpapers you get for beating the demo
i like how every move matters
you cant just spam dodge or counter its a death sentence
really have to master fights

It's such a small window of opportunity compared to something like Sekiro so I wasn't used to it at first lol. That first phase of the boss can get stunlocked by just mashing regular attack with the sword they gotta fix that

yeah the first phase is actually just a joke but i guess maybe he is supposed to be? dunno. 2nd phase you definitely have to get your s*** down to beat him
i just watched a Monster Hunter player play the demo and bro was stuck on the boss for almost 2 hours bc he played it like Dark Souls and refused to counter or stay close
i wanted to scream at my screen to stop playing it like dark souls
i honestly think this game might grow a huge following slowly
all the dark souls channels are gonna be posting about how good this is for sure
This s*** kinda gas… I can lowkey fw this more than Elden Ring and any souls game (Sekiro cool tho) cuz the combat actually feels fun
The complaints on the subreddit are making me mad actually
