This album is really something else. Outspoken, controversial, no f***s given. Went at the police, school system, record industry, government, etc. Seems after this album they kinda fell off the map. I know the album they released after this had a Hov feature and even that didn't gain much traction. Their latest work sounds like a complete 180 from the Let's Get Free sound so just wondering what others think and how they feel about this album really
Blackballed
Got a hov feature
Some artists just aren't meant to crossover mane.

also worth mentioning that their instrumental for Hip-Hop was used on Chappelle's Show of course but yeah I remember peeping their latest album that came out a few years back...was just some completely different s*** that didn't really hit the same unfortunately
Wasnt like half or more of their songs racist s*** lol
I mean they said cracker a lot but so did David Banner lol
I don't think so, they just weren't meant to be stars
I'm not saying I expected em to win Grammy's or be all over the radio just seems after that album their career took a big hit creatively and they were never really able to release anything quite up to par with that record
Right, so no lyrics that might turn off a wider audience
Turning off a “wider audience” of racist crackers who would never listen to them anyway doesn’t also make them racist lol

well than it’s kinda strange that they didn’t blow up. One would almost assume that lyrics like « And it don't stop till we get these crackers off out block!« had impact on their audience but I guess not

My point is that’s not racist lol

Wasn't their a rumor that Dead Prez couldn't get their music played on 106&Park because it was considered "too smart" for that audience?

Heard that happened to Little Brother when The Minstrel Show came out
Right, so no lyrics that might turn off a wider audience
Absolutely funny that you say that..
Cause I swear those are the same people who bought every f***ing piece of the Dead Prez & Supreme collaboration
S*** let me take it a little further.. also the same people who bought the Public Enemy & Supreme s***..
My point is that’s not racist lol
Depends on your definition of racism
Im just saying that casual white people might get turned off by that s***, and they the main audience in america
