    Lmao

whats the last year you watched

The cena etc. generation u listed was the last time they made real stars (really they had all our attention from HHH/Rock/etc. days and we as 90's babies started watching bc of that and cena etc. generation was good enough to keep our attention till bout 07-08)

also benoit and that bad PR making them completely want to reinvent their image as PG and before u know it ten years go by and you still have no new cross over stars

Try AEW it got Chris Jericho and hella people you probably won’t recognize but it got kinda a new version of that old WCW feel

But yeah wrestling hasn’t hit like early 2000’s/90’s since early 2000’s/90’s lol

Everyone Since is a mold of something that came before or just super generic and the best of a s***ty crop

it got too commercialized. the same thing will happen in the nba. after this lebron/kd era of stars are gone, there's gonna be huge void to fill. brandon ingram, jamal murray, and Jason tatum aren't interesting people. you're already seeing a lack of unique characters in the nba. there's no allen iverson, charles barkley, ron artest, rasheed wallace, etc... in the league anymore

NBA is different. It’s not manufactured. There’s always a new superstar class. Giannis isn’t old and there’s a good young star in Phoenix. There will be others to step in. The WWE has to create a story. They haven’t developed anyone close to the Attitude Era. Bunch of nobodies.

the nba relies on story telling and narrative building too. my point is that both the wwe and nba have become overly commercialized. when you get to a point where there's so much money involved, there's less risks taken. these nba players aren't really humans, they're businesses. to maintain broad popularity, you have to play it safe. more and more players coming from middle to upper class family's like lonzo ball, tatum, Steph curry. these kind of people are taught to not f*** the money up. look at all the new stars in the nba. they're boring af

and to a lesser degree, it's what's happened in wrestling.

-They can't create a new star worth a f*** that comes close to the level of Cena, let alone Austin or Rock

-Storytelling and feuds have sucked for years. A champion has a new opponent every PPV with literally no backstory it's just here they're the #1 contender (Bray Wyatt has been somewhat an exception to this but even with Roman's recent heel turn and title win, it just happened with no build up )

-Reliance on older names/part timers as draws cause they can't build a new star (Brock is acceptable cause he's a big name in general but they used Goldberg in 2020 to bury their most interesting character in years 💀). The Undertaker just finally retired (for now) and they put Edge in a position to be injured in only his 2nd match back since retirement.

-No wrestlers really stand out from each other. It's a bunch of vanilla midgets/indie guys who may wrestle good enough but have nowhere near the charisma or classic match potential of a Bryan or Punk for fans to rally behind.

    -Vince is senile

The last one is probably the #1 argument tbh
