Die Hard in terms of actions movies of the 80's is so overrated. The Terminator, Predator, First Blood, Aliens, Escape From New York are all infinitely better.

Not really most of em aren’t that good, it’s really hard to translate actual Lovecraft work to the screen. The silent short films are okay. Recent Color Out Of Space wasn’t all that.

The Stuart Gordon films are campy and full of shlock but i kinda like them even though their tone isn’t Lovecraftian at all

Damn that's unfortunate, at least Bloodborne encapsulates that feeling from the novels and adapts the themes like no other media I've ever seen tbh.

Tbh, there’s a lot of movies in the 80s that I haven’t seen. I was tempted to add ET but I haven’t seen that movie since I was a child. I have yet to see The Shining. So many important movies from this decade that I have yet to see :(
