It works but the caveat is that you become a sociopath
You should just stay away from it
Stopped reading when I realized it had little to teach me. I was already doing all that stuff naturally
I’ve been reading this because I picked up The Laws of Human Nature by him and enjoyed it. It’s a very entertaining read and I would love to recommend it to others were it not so chastised. The stories and the insights he draws are fun, whether they’re “true” or not
Funny how some prisons ban this book and his other ones.
I remember my brother asked me to buy him Art of Seduction when he was locked up and they sent that s*** back to me lol
Reading it always felt like common sense to me when I checked it out of curiosity
Feel like if you need a book to tell you that stuff then you probably don't know how to apply it in appropriate context anyways lol
Especially if you get excited over it

This. I finally gave in and bought the book last year to see what it's all about and most of the advice is common sense. He just saying be smart and play your cards right
Good book..don't listen to people who be hating on that s***. They most likely read enough of it themselves

Literally the first advice in the book lmao
Xenophon and Machiavelli for self-help audiences. Don't read books on power from perpetual authors if that's what you're looking for, don't assume they know what they're talking about.
At worst loser toxic masculinity literature for beta-males

I used to think it was fascinating as a teen, and thought it had answers
Then I grew up and realized it’s just history with some guys ideas that we take with a grain of salt
Just entertainment rather than the answers

when I read it (after hearing so much fan-fare about it) - It just came across as a "How to be an evil a******" - Like I cannot fathom reading s*** like that and remaining in a positive mindset - There is no way I could read that and not go into this negative, evil and villainous mindset - if you get my drift.
I guess it just depends on the people - some people find it really practical and some people dont.
