  • been reading about caribbean spiritualism all day and stepping into a sense of spirituality that is connected to my roots, posting for the page 1 jokes but im deadass serious im finally ready to step into my role as a medium

i have had deep connection with dead relatives, friends dead relatives, animals, etc but i'm not really gonna go too deep into it bc im not tryna prove or convince anyone of anything or share personal info just for ppl to make fun of it.

i have the belief we are all connected with the spiritual world, its just whatever youre willing to connect with your higher power / ancestors / energy around u etc

i think wanna eventually start learning the African/Native religions whenever, i just get put off by these LARPing pagan niggas that use these obscurer religions as a medium to be eclectic and anti-Abrahamic

I would rather become a prophet. Ermit like life, deep prayers, biblical studies. Helping others, healing people, self-knowledgment.

Living in the now, living for life, and for the lives.

you actually mind sharing any of your experiences? @op

im always interested in people’s experiences with the divine of all walks, most of the people on here haven’t been engaged with a religion beyond half assing church visits so don’t be coy about that s*** imo

i used the term witch for jokes and page 1 gut reactions

    theres many LARP'ers

i was so turned off by spirituality because how many people pervert it for financial gain, sexual abuse (family friends and myself have been victims of this violence)

if ur caribbean this s*** is real and no joke. it gets clowned on but its a real thing and its better to understand your cultural roots instead of ignoring them facts

I feel like witchcraft is knowledge. Like if you go through your whole life atheist about evil eye and energy then you’re dumb.

i talked about it on here a while back but i grew up in a new age spiritual cult that has a lot of ties with hip hop industry

thats a whole story in of itself.

my family doesnt talk about it but i have strong reason to believe my abuela was a medium. my moms "godfather" was a well respected figure in their community and had many people come through their doors. rituals was done.

the week my ex's dad passed, he came to me in my dream (chronic insomniac who never dreams / remembers them) and asked me to make deep amends with her that he couldnt do.

when i was in cuba and spoke with santeria padrino's i felt a heavy heavy energy that brought me to tears (could feel this guys spirit was abusive and predatory despite very little conversation.)

i'm an incredibly rational person so most of these things i attribute to subconcious psychological stuff

and i still believe most of these things are psychological reactions to stuff in the past. but to ignore the spiritual element is foolish for my PERSONAL LIFE!

not really interested in convincing anyone theres a spiritual world out there. theres a rational explanation for everything i went thru, no doubt about it. but my lifelong sense of otherness , deep sensitivity to peoples of emotions, and gravity in a room without saying a word, has a spiritual element in my belief.

i was that way for a long time and miserable its just dumb to ignore energy

you dont even need to believe in an afterlife or anything u can just feel that theres stuff beyond our senses : physical relation to the word

dont need to be some profound scientist to understand that theres things we cant see that have influence on the material world

Yea I’m 100% with u. People act so fake and nice, you think the underlying energy doesn’t exist? And if you think it exists, you don’t think it can affect you at all? It’s why I don’t put my faith in science. People reject faith/spirituality for science when science doesn’t/CAN’T provide answers to things many of us know are real. Yknow?

that’s some crazy s*** ngl i’ve read plenty of studies and cases of people coming into touch with spirits and ghosts and all other things of that nature but i can’t honestly say i’ve ever had anything like that personally

there can definitely be some sort of “rational” explanation for these sorts of things (i mean, really as so far as how they’re apprehended imo) but i don’t think the mechanistic explanations really properly capture the essence of these experiences and how profound they are—and that’s where a lot of the communication between people who hold fast to science and reason versus people who believe that there’s more to reality than what a scientist tells you + what you can personally see

I was on that path a while ago too, I guess I still am but haven't been practicing or reading much recently, normal life + mental health tends to pull me away.

I think the best practitioners are the ones who make it a priority to do the work every day if possible, so I gotta get back on the wagon.

Divine feminine energy is so freeing, they do say women are protectors of the spiritual world and men the physical (man is war)

i’ve been lucky to come across women in my life who just have such a divine presence and have nervous system healing energy, and i’m not even talking about the astrology crystal types lmao

As a man connecting with your divine feminine is gonna make you a better person overall and it definitely goes down the path of finding where you reside spiritually
