AOTY 2019. This s*** was hitting this time last year right as the weather was getting nice. Amazing album and cemented Tyler as a new school legend

Album was an ok follow up to flower boy. He too focused on production for me, I like when he’s on some rap stuff. Flower boy and Wolf were a good combo of both

I love this album cause he pretty much did it all himself (except for the features obv)

so much attention to detail, the different voice pitches, the ad-libs, the background vocals, the switch-ups,

experimental and yet has all the pop sensibilities, the fact he's singing and said f*** it because he realized he was going to have to do it himself,

stupid-good use of sampling, the whole theme

this is going to sound weird but, i didn't really think about it at the time, am i the only one who feels the whole Igor era was lowkey inspired by Yves Tumor? not accusing him of ripping him but i can't unsee the influence retrospectively, especially since he got big during 2016-2018 which is when tyler would have been recording Igor

I love the "bad singing". I usually prefer flawed singers because it makes it more relatable. As long as the melodies are clear that's the main thing

facts. Tyler knows enough about music to know what works with his voice at this point. He knows he can't sing like that but still made it work

His episode with tame and esperanza are great
