Literally same week, it's not "on the internet". There is a mass psychosis going on right now; people are turning violent and crazy.

People have always been violent and crazy, you just have local news now

This pretty much disproves what you're saying? How is the homicide rate being half of what it was 20 years ago "on the brink of collapse"?

  • chart proves life peaked in the 2013/2014 though

Look at the chart to the right. Percentage increase heavy 2020+, need to see recent charts though surely it's even worse.

The trends in 2022 are largely the inverse of what happened in the U.S. amid the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021, when violent crime rose and property crime decreased. According to the report, homicides fell about 4% in 2022, based on data from 27 of the 35 cities included in the study.

  • this is not a brink of collapse inducing chart

If you want to get doomy just focus on the climate

So how does this explain all this craziness going on? You can't act like right now there's not an issue? What about crimes that aren't being prosecuted or reported?

There isn't any issue that hasn't always been around, just screamed out from different political allies

There's a looming subconscious realization that we're in the end times and it makes everybody on edge.

As far as crimes go, crimes that unreported crimes are at an all time low. So while there might have been 4 more murder's in your city last year than are on paper, in 1993 there were 14. That doesn't really help your case at all

Obviously there's a perception based on the media that supplies the information. No doubt there, but in terms of the collapse mentality. Things are steering toward that: government corruption, destruction of the nuclear family, technological dystopia, lack of community, education failing.

There's so many clear issues going on.

Yeah I guess I see what you mean.

The biggest issue is the ones who see one side don't see the other.

People who aren't ignorant about climate change aren't welcoming to people who aren't ignorant about the destruction of the nuclear family because of two different political parties.

    sad state

All boils down to a lack of critical thinking and inability to see or respect other view points that aren't inherently moral-less or bad (racism, prejudice, etc).

You're basically either "this or that" now, there's no gray area/zones. Labeling and generalizations are the key foundation fueling this fire (personally think so).
